La canción de abuelita
Pura Belpré Honor-winning author Gloria Amescua presents a delightful picture book celebrating family and the music that connects us. Now available in Spanish.
Every night, when the sun sets, a mother sings a very special lullaby to her little baby: ” Where is my heart? Here, here in my arms.”
As the years go by, the boy asks for his song again and again, until it’s etched in his heart. When the boy grows up and moves far away from home, he teaches the song to his daughters. And now that abuelita is coming to visit, the girls are preparing a surprise for her: they’re going to sing her his song, the song of his heart.
La canción de abuelita is a very special book for me, inspired by my son and my granddaughters.
